Holidays During term Time
Holidays should not be taken during term time and requests for such absences will not ordinarily be authorised.
If you do require leave of absence time off during term time, a form (available from the school office) must be completed at least 28 days prior to the absence. The Head Teacher will consider this request and decide if an absence can be authorised. There is a separate, detailed, policy on this topic.
You will receive a copy of your Application of Absence form with the decision of the head teacher. If the leave is taken and given an unauthorised mark you may then be issued with a fixed penalty notice by the Local Authority, particularly if this equates to 5 days or more in an academic year.
