Manor Adventure 2018
We’ve arrived safely and the sun is shining. Unfortunately currently there is a very poor wifi signal so photographs will follow later.
All had a great night sleep and enjoyed a good breakfast. Now have set off for a full day of fun activities.
We have now been informed that there is no wifi currently at Manor Adventure, so therefore our photographs cannot be downloaded onto the website. We will keep you informed with updates as usual on the website.
The children have had a brilliant day. They have completed a range of activities: canoeing, kayaking, the obstacle course, the blind trail and low ropes. They are such a happy and enthusiastic group of children and we have been very impressed with their team-work and politeness. We have been lucky with the weather so far too and we hope it continues for the hill walk tomorrow morning.
A glorious, sunny day in beautiful Shropshire. Now, halfway through the week, the children have really got into the swings of things and got to grips with some exhilarating activities including climbing, fencing and obstacle courses. The day got off to a great start with a brisk walk up a steep and rocky hill. Luckily there were some much needed biscuits at the top to refuel the children before the set off on the journey back down.
After the last of the evening activities, the children were eager to get to bed for some rest before the last day of exciting activities and (most importantly) the disco tomorrow evening!
The children continue to impress all of the adults and instructors with their teamwork and enthusiasm which they show in every activity – they are truly throwing themselves into everything!
It’s hard to believe that we’ve come to our last night. The children spent their last full day getting muddy in obstacle courses and underground mazes and running around the Manor Adventure site in a scavenger hunt. After a delicious barbecue out in the glorious sunshine, the children were tasked with the job of packing and getting ready for the disco. The children danced the night away and sang their hearts out. What a perfect way to end our fantastic week!
We have been so proud of the children this week. We’ve watched their resilience, courage and sense of humour shine through. The instructors who have spent time with the children have all commented on their incredible attitude which they have shown towards all activities.
The children have had a wonderful week but are now looking forward to having their last activities tomorrow before heading back to Upminster for tomorrow afternoon. They can not wait to fill you all in on the memories they have made.
See you tomorrow.
